Drake University Professor Emeritus Patricia Prijatel will share information from and answer questions about her recently published book, Surviving Triple-Negative Breast Cancer: Hope, Treatment, and Recovery. After her diagnosis of hormone-negative breast cancer, Prijatel, who is also a health journalist, did what any reporter would do: start investigating the disease, how it occurs, how it's treated, and how to keep it from recurring. Prijatelís book delivers an inspiring message with research-based information about triple-negative breast cancer (TNBC), as well as accounts from women who have faced TNBC and lived to share their stories. While focused on TNBC, the book has application to anyone hoping to avoid breast cancer. Copies of the book will be available for sale and signing after the program.
