|Reality Bites: Mental Illness- Share|
Event Type: Adult|
Age Group(s): Everyone
Start Time: 6:00 PM
End Time: 8:00 PM
This is a workshop-style class, where we watch short videos and films, participate in collective conversations, and take part in group exercises. Be prepared to share in a civil and safe environment. In the first session we learn, then we discuss in the second and finally we share.Library: Downtown Library
Over the next three sessions we will aim to bust myths surrounding mental illness, destroy stigmas and provide strategies for restorative healing.
The final session will be a culmination of the two previous sessions and we will move forward with how we can be powerful advocates for these groups. There will be a small panel from organizations who work directly with people with mental illness and they will share their findings. Finally there will be an opportunity to make a poster and share individual stories.
