 The Cedar Rapids Civil Rights Commission, African American Museum of Iowa, and the Cedar Rapids Public Library present Movie Night and Public Sector Job Fair featuring "Hidden Figures".

Join us on Martin Luther King Jr. Day from 5:30 pm - 7:45 pm in the Whipple Auditorium for our feature film, "Hidden Figures". "Hidden Figures" is the incredible untold story of Katherine G. Jonson, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson –
three brilliant African-American women working at NASA, who served as the brains behind one of the greatest operations in history: the launch of astronaut John Glenn into orbit. This achievement turned around the Space Race, restored the nation’s confidence and galvanized the world. The visionary

Public Sector Job Fair:
The movie will be preceded by a Public Sector Job Fair in the lobby of the Library from 4:00-5:30 PM.
Various government agencies will be available to discuss current employment opportunities, future
employment opportunities and employment criteria such as educational levels, skills, etc. to better prepare
for jobs in the public sector.

Representatives from the City of Cedar Rapids, Cedar Rapids Police and Fire Departments, Cedar Rapids
Community School District, Kirkwood Community College, the US Attorney’s Office for the Northern
District of Iowa, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and the 6th
Judicial District Department of Corrections will be present at the Job Fair.
